Events to help celebrate 425 years
WvN Marketing was approached by Cambridge University Press with the unique brief of
organising a series of events to celebrate 425 years of continuous printing and publishing in Cambridge
2009 was a year of anniversaries for Cambridge University Press as it celebrated 425 years of continuous
publishing, and 475 years since King Henry VIII granted the "Letters Patent", allowing the Press to print
"all manner of books"
The Press wanted to celebrate this special anniversary in many ways, with concerts, theatre performances,
publications, discussions, debates and public lectures.
WvN Marketing was approached to plan, manage and execute these events that would commemorate the
books, people, ideas and achievements that have emerged from Cambridge University Press's history and
which continue to inspire and transform the world.
These events all took place throughout May and June 2009 in Cambridge, and they were:
